Food and drink.
Cornish pasties spring to mind but also cream teas, scrumpy cider,
country wines, local ales, 50 different cheeses, dairy ice creams,
organic meat and of course fish, crab, lobster, mussels, oysters
and even wine. Cornwall spearheads the drive for better, healthier
food. Look out for the signs on the road and never eat the same
twice during your holiday.

Poldown is within
minutes of quality village pubs, restaurants
and take-aways, where you will be able to sample ales from the
seven local breweries, fish from the harbours, local meats and
vegetables, often in remarkable surroundings, always in good company.

From fisherman singing in Cadgwith
cove Inn on Fridays to Shakespeare at the Minack theater there is
always something going on in West Cornwall, jazz in the parks, village
roasts, plays of all kinds, or simply live music in the local pubs.
Not forgetting Flora day at Helston, Penzances' street summer festival,
or Newlyn's fish festival. |
